GUIDE FOR CONTRIBUTORS
Methodus get articles (in English, German, French, Italian, English and Portuguese) about any area of \u200b\u200bmodern philosophy, as considers the inclusion of works that address the reception of antiquity or the Middle Ages in modern philosophy and the impact of modern philosophy in the contemporary. On the contrary, it excludes media items, artistic, literary, theological, or do not meet the criteria of philosophical rigor in its content and methodology. Contributions will be refereed. 1. Collaborations. The briefs submitted for publication will be subject to evaluation and selection process, under the blind reference system, made by the evaluating committee. Contributions can be of three types: (i) Articles. Whose length may not exceed 10,000 words, including notes. Must be accompanied by an abstract of 100 to 150 words, plus 4 to 7 keywords, both in English. (Ii) Notes of Discussion. Written critically analyze recent interpretations (10 years) of authors, issues and problems of modern philosophy. Their length should not exceed 5,000 words, including notes. (Iii) Book Reviews. Letters of notification, the extension may not exceed 1,500 words. Priority will be book reviews, not exceeding 3 years from the date of publication. 2. On the presentation of the collaboration. Methodus accepts contributions in English, English, German, French, Italian and Portuguese. The author must send two attachments to revista.methodus @ gmail.com: in *. doc or *. pdf, one with your personal data (name, affiliation, email address) and one with the text written under blind reference system. 3. How to cite. All events whose length is 3 lines or more should be in a separate paragraph without quotation marks, if the appointment is 2 lines or less, must go in the main text body double quotation marks. In both cases suggests immediately placed in brackets, the reference to the author, year of publication and pages. 4. References. References to books or articles in the main text body or footer should follow the model: name and first name (separated by a comma), year (in parentheses) and page. Example: Cassirer, Ernst (1931), pp. 18-24. However, also accepted benchmarks MLA and HMC. In the case of referring to the complete works of one author, they must be the name given to the publication or the usual way of reference, the number Roman volume (if necessary) and the relevant pages. Example: Kants Werke IV, pp. 231-4; or: Ak. IV, pp. 231-4. 5. Bibliography. The Bibliography is mandatory and must be entered at the end of work, in alphabetical order by the surname of the authors as follows: (i) Books. Last and First name (separated by a comma), year of publication (in parentheses), title (in italics), publisher and / or translator (if necessary), city and publisher (separated by a colon). Example: Wolff, Christian (1962, ¹ 1730), Philosophia prima sive Ontology, Joannes Ecole (ed.), Darmstadt: Wissenschaftliche Buchgesellschaft. (Ii) Articles. Last and First name (separated by a comma), year of publication (in brackets).
